Fríða Ísberg

Fríða Ísberg (b. 1992) is an Icelandic writer and poet. She holds a BA in philosophy and an MA in creative writing from the University of Iceland. Her first book, the poetry collection Slitförin, was published in 2017, followed by works including the short-story collection Kláði (2018), the poetry collection Leðurjakkaveður (2019), and the novel Merking (2021). Her work has received numerous awards and distinctions, including the Icelandic Women’s Literature Prize, and Kláði was nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize in 2020. Her books have been translated into numerous languages. Fríða is also one of the six members of the poetry collective Svikaskáld.
